Bayern wanted Mudryk

It has been revealed that Bayern 'briefly considered' Mykhailo Mudryk as a loan option in January.

He could perhaps have benefited from a temporary departure from Chelsea. Here are five other players who failed to get the move they desperately needed.

Chelsea slammed

Staying with the Blues for now, it was a busy Deadline Day for them as Armando Broja joined Fulham shortly before the window shut.

One player who didn't leave was Malang Sarr. His transfer to Le Havre fell through because Chelsea failed to submit all the documents in time, for which they have now been harshly criticised by the club's sporting director.

Spurs hijack Bergvall deal

Also on Deadline Day, Spurs managed to hijack Barcelona's 'done deal' for Lucas Bergvall.

Fabrizio Romano has explained just how Tottenham managed to do what had seemed pretty much impossible previously.

January recap

It was a strange transfer window as there weren't too many big-money deals, but some clubs nevertheless made an awful lot of money from sales.

The only deal that could have made Spurs' window even better is if they had granted Ange Postecoglou's wish and signed...Lewis Hamilton.

Transfer news

Finally, let's finish up with some more transfer news from around the world. West Ham, like Chelsea, also failed to complete a deal before the deadline and they have also been slammed for their incompetence.

An injured Chelsea star has vowed to 'sort things out' at the club after they were smashed by Liverpool.

Former Bayern and Barcelona player Arturo Vidal has returned to Chilean side Colo-Cola and his unveiling was simply iconic.

Brentford have sent Arsenal a clear message over Ivan Toney.

Who should Newcastle sign to replace the sought-after Bruno Guimaraes should he leave? Here are their top options.

Adam Wharton has explained why he decided to snub Chelsea to join Crystal Palace.

Trouble in paradise? Roberto de Zerbi could not hide his frustration when asked about Brighton's transfer window.

Erik ten Hag has admitted that he really wanted to sign a striker in January.

The Dutchman's Man Utd transfer policy has been branded 'desperate' by a former Red Devil.

Lastly, Joan Laporta has made some grand statements about the Super League, which have now been described as 'total nonsense' by two European giants.
