Arsenal and Tottenham are both deemed more likely destinations than Manchester United for Pedro Neto this summer, according to reports.

Neto, 23, is being chased by almost every top Premier League side ahead of the upcoming transfer window following his electric form at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Portuguese winger has two goals and nine assists in the English top flight so far this season and his form has attracted interest from the division’s biggest clubs.

FootballTransfers has been informed that Wolves have set an £80 million (€93m) asking price for Neto as they look to extract the maximum transfer fee possible for the former Lazio star.

A move away this summer does appear on the cards, with the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool all interested in signing him.

According to Ben Jacobs, however, Neto is poised for a move to north London. The CBS correspondent told GiveMeSport: “I think that Arsenal and Spurs are more likely destinations for Neto, at this point. We know the Tottenham interest is historical, and I would expect Arsenal to consider Neto this summer as one of a few targets in that position.

“But both of the north London clubs will also be well aware that Wolves - because he is still well contracted - will be looking for a club-record sale.

“They will be very firm on price. You can understand why, in an inflated market, where many attackers and midfielders have gone for in excess of £70 million.

What has Gary O’Neil said about Pedro Neto?

Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is hopeful of keeping Neto this summer, despite increasing interest from the biggest clubs in the Premier League. “The good news on the player front is that we sold some last summer,” he told TalkSport recently. “We didn't sign many, we didn't spend anything in January.

“So financially we're in a place where we don't need to lose our best players - we don't need to lose any players.

“That puts us in a better place than we were last summer initially, so we can make our own decisions on what is best for the club rather than what might need to be done.

“No-one will be leaving if it doesn't suit us.

“Obviously if top, top clubs come calling for players and the price is right and we think it's better for Wolves, then it will always be a consideration,” O’Neil added. “But when you're sat in this seat and you just need the team to win games, I want to keep all of them for as long as I can.”
