Serhou Guirassy will not leave VfB Stuttgart this month unless a club lodges an 'extraordinary' offer, according to German media.

One of Europe's most in-demand players, Serhou Guirassy will see out the current campaign at his Bundesliga club. The Guinean striker, who is currently at Africa Cup of Nations, has informed the Stuttgart bosses that he intends to remain with the third-placed side until the summer.

That's at least according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, who has broken the news of the 27-year-old's decision and also revealed that the player's bargain €17.5 million release clause for January has already expired. It was this clause - in addition to his 19 goals this term - which made the striker the object of many clubs' desire.

According to Plettenberg, any transfer talk of a Guirassy move this month can be put to bed unless something "extraordinary happens with other clubs until Deadline Day." Guirassy's decision is final despite the fact that "more teams from England have inquired about him in the last few days."

Guirassy snubs Premier League clubs

The striker has been heavily courted by Premier League clubs looking for a reliable number nine, such as Manchester United, in recent weeks, with West Ham reportedly also interested.

The Red Devils, who are dealing with Financial Fair Play restrictions, identified him as a cheap reinforcement for their misfiring attack, but the Guinean has evidently snubbed Erik ten Hag and company.

On the continent, the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich were also said to be interested at one point, but a move within the Bundesliga always appeared unlikely. In Italy, AC Milan were reportedly hot on his tail for some time late last year, allegedly even agreeing personal terms, but that rumour eventually evaporated into thin air.
