Chelsea and Barcelona are two of several elite European sides tracking Roony Bardghji, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Copenhagen wonderkid, nicknamed the Swedish Messi, is already a regular fixture and his side's top goalscorer this season despite only turning 18 last month. The youngster made headlines earlier in the campaign for scoring the winning goal against Manchester United in the Champions League, a result that condemned the Red Devils to last place in their group.

Bardghji has netted 10 times in all competitions this season and has long since been regarded as one of Europe's biggest prospects. His current deal with his Danish club runs until late 2025, but given his form, it is highly unlikely that he will remain at Copenhagen for the duration of that contract.

Indeed, several elite sides are keeping a close eye on the youngster and could make a move for him in 2024, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

What did Romano say?

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian revealed: "He [Bardghji] is on the list of many clubs. He signed with a new agency, CAA Base, a couple of weeks ago and [is] now looking for an opportunity."

"He is out of contract in 2025, so it's a big opportunity on the market because the contract is short and many clubs are moving. From what I'm hearing, recently Juventus, Barcelona and Chelsea scouts have been travelling to follow and keep an eye on Roony Bardghji."

"So, he's a player they know very well, he's a player they're following, they're tracking, they're monitoring. Let's see what's going to happen because there is a lot of interest in this talented boy and [he] could be one of the names in the 2024 transfer market."

Bardghji himself previously revealed that his dream move would be signing for Real Madrid. “My goal is to become the best footballer in the world," he said in 2022. "I've had that dream since I was a kid and nothing can stop me except myself. I want to end up at Real Madrid and I want to play there for many years.”
