Arsenal are back in the mix to sign Valencia starlet Yarek Gasiorowski after Brexit had made an earlier deal impossible, according to Spanish media.

The youngster made his highly-anticipated senior debut for Valencia earlier in the season against RCD Mallorca. Though it was only a one-minute cameo - just like his next game against Granada - it was already clear that this was just the beginning of his gradual introduction to first-team football.

Indeed, a baptism of fire awaited the youngster as he finally got his first significant minutes against none other than Real Madrid, playing 35 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu as Valencia were put to the sword 5-1. The result did little to harm the defender's reputation and he bounced back in style, scoring a hattrick from centre-back against Moldova for Spain's U19s on Wednesday.

The Spaniard's introduction to the Valencia seniors has reinvigorated the massive interest that has existed in him since he was a youngster in the club's youth team. Indeed, Arsenal had previously tried to sign him, but Brexit ultimately prevented them from signing him as he was still a minor then.

Arsenal back in

Now fully of age, the 18-year-old is again attracting the attention of the Gunners, according to AS. Whether they will make a move again remains to be seen, but time could be of the essence.

The Spanish outlet reports that Gasiorowski's current release clause stands at a measly €20 million, but interestingly, it is claimed that this release clause will increase dramatically once the youngster is officially registered as a first-team player. This hasn't happened yet and, it is asserted, likely won't happen as Valencia are planning to fill their available spots with January reinforcements.

Moreover, as he is still only 18, Valencia want to retain the chance of him being eligible for the reserve team, where he is bound to get more minutes more frequently than in LaLiga.

The likes of RB Salzburg, who made a €5m offer before he had even debuted with the reserves, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus have also at various times been credited with an interest in the youngster.
