Four WORLD-CLASS players who could still move

Even though the transfer window across Europe has slammed shut, that is not the case across other parts of the world.

In particular, the Saudi Pro League won’t close until September 7, leaving a few Premier League clubs sweating.

Some former and current world-class stars remain linked to sides, with another window deadline looming.

Here FootballTransfers takes a look at some of the biggest names that are still linked with a summer move this window.

Mo Salah

Mohamed Salah remains linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League - with Liverpool rejecting a £150million bid for the winger from Al Ittihad on deadline day.

But it is thought that the Saudi side are not giving up their pursuit of the Reds legend. And reports have said that Al Ittihad have not ruled out going back in with an improved offer, with Sky Sports saying that they are prepared to go to £200m.

Any move would have to be a world-record departure for Liverpool, who are unable to bring any other name in as a replacement in January.

Marco Verratti

Marco Verratii is nearing a move to the Qatari top-flight, reports Foot Mercato.

Al Arabi and Paris Saint-Germain have already come to an agreement over the sale of the midfielder, who has been at the Parc des Princes. The player has been linked with a move away for the majority of the window. And he still could depart for PSG.

Juan Mata

Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has chosen a move to Japanese club Vissel Kobe, reports The Athletic. Mata, who most recently spent a season at Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig, has also received tempting offers from Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

It is thought that Mata is looking at a move to the J-League, where his former team-mate Andres Iniesta spent five years. Iniesta made over 130 appearances for Vissel Kobe, netting 26 goals.

Donny van de Beek

Donny van de Beek still could leave Man Utd despite the window closing in Europe. Indeed, the Dutchman and Eric Bailly are still Red Devil players, but the Turkish transfer window is still open - meaning that deals could still be done.

Van de Beek turned down a move to Lorient in Ligue 1, while a move to Real Sociedad also failed. It is thought that Van de Beek could still leave Old Trafford.
