Most European transfer windows have long since closed and clubs are already thinking ahead to January and next summer.

Some transfer windows are still open, however. The Turkish Super Lig window doesn't close until September 15 and some clubs are still looking to make a huge splash by signing a Liverpool star.

With the Women's Super League season kicking off belatedly, on October 1, due to the World Cup, the transfer window of England's women's top flight is about to shut and Man Utd are still trying to engineer a world-record deal, while Arsenal have already agreed a club-record move.

Therefore, transfer news continues to abound even if most of Europe's biggest men's clubs can't splash the cash again until January 2024.
