There are now just over 10 days to go until the summer transfer window closes.

And for many of the biggest teams in the Premier League and in Europe, there is still a lot of work to do.

And there are also a number of top players whose futures must be sorted in the next week and a half.

Here is all the major football transfer news today.

Man Utd Transfer News

*Mason Greenwood will leave Manchester United after the club confirmed the conclusion of their internal investigation, with the player having 'mutually agreed' to continue his career away from Old Trafford. (official)

* Manchester United are making preparations for the potential departure of Dean Henderson and have lined up Odysseas Vlachodimos of Benfica as a transfer target (Fabrizio Romano).

* Ryan Gravenberch is not sure of his place as a starter at Bayern Munich this season and both Man Utd and Liverpool have made their interest in the player known (De Telegraaf).

* Kylian Mbappe’s mother and agent Fayza Lamari is growing frustrated with Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain and a move to Manchester United could now open up.

* Manchester United have made a shock move for PSG midfielder Marco Verratti, according to L’Equipe. Verratti is available for sale after being made surplus to requirements by PSG manager Luis Enrique.

* Man Utd are likely to miss out on the signing of Benjamin Pavard, according to Football Insider. Inter Milan are now the favourites to sign the Bayern Munich defender, who wants to leave his current club.

Arsenal Transfer News

*Evan Ferguson is on the radar of Arsenal for the next summer transfer window, FootballTransfers understands.

* Arsenal flop Nicolas Pepe has rejected a move to Besiktas this summer, according to Loic Tanzi.

* Aston Villa want to sign forgotten Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares on loan, according to iNews.

* Declan Rice's game at Arsenal will be restricted under Mikel Arteta, despite the club's £105 million outlay on him, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Chelsea Transfer News

*Arsenal and Chelsea remain in talks over a transfer for striker Folarin Balogun, with the forward already having agreed personal terms with the Stamford Bridge club.

* Chelsea plan to sign one more attacking player before the close of the summer transfer window after their pursuit of Michael Olise ended with him signing a new Crystal Palace contract (Fabrizio Romano).

* New Chelsea signing Moises Caicedo endured a disastrous debut after his €135m move from Brighton, conceding a penalty in a 3-1 defeat to West Ham.

* Chelsea are ahead of Arsenal and Barcelona in the race to sign Real Valladolid star Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid, according to Mundo Deportivo.

* However, Fabrizio Romano has announced on his YouTube channel that there is 'no chance' that Fresneda joins Chelsea this summer.

* Thiago Silva was among the betting favourites to be made Chelsea captain under Mauricio Pochettino, but the new manager chose Reece James instead. Pochettino has explained why.

* Chelsea are demanding £50 million in order to sell Conor Gallagher, with Crystal Palace interested in the midfielder, according to the Telegraph.

Liverpool Transfer News

* TalkSPORT are once again linking Liverpool with a shock move for Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips.

* Ryan Gravenberch is not sure of his place as a starter at Bayern Munich this season and both Man Utd and Liverpool have made their interest in the player known (De Telegraaf).

* Liverpool have finally signed a defensive midfielder in Wataru Endo, but for club legend Michael Owen the Reds are settling for at least third best.

* Liverpool do still plan to sign another central midfielder this summer, though, according to Nacional. And they are not out of the race for Man Utd-target Sofyan Amrabat.

*Liverpool target Johan Bakayoko has been warned off moving to Anfield by Eredivisie legend Wim Kieft, who believes he isn’t ready for a move of that magnitude.

* Former Liverpool star Divock Origi, now at Milan, could return to England this summer with Sheffield United, according to The Sun.

Man City Transfer News

* Barcelona have announced that Sergino Dest has joined PSV on loan in a deal that opens the door to the arrival of Joao Cancelo from Manchester City (FC Barcelona).

* Riyad Mahrez is set to be joined in the Saudi Pro League by former Manchester City teammate Aymeric Laporte, according to reports.

* Man City will pay the £10m release clause of Boca Juniors left back Valentin Barco, according to The Sun.

Barcelona Transfer News

* Barcelona have announced that Sergino Dest has joined PSV on loan in a deal that opens the door to the arrival of Joao Cancelo from Manchester City (FC Barcelona).

* Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a SHOCK return to former club Barcelona.

* Joao Cancelo will join Barcelona this summer - either on loan or permanently - according to multiple reports. The Sun says Barca will pay 90% of his wages in an initial loan.

*Barcelona target Fabricio Diaz is on the verge of leaving Liverpool Montevideo, but the midfielder is set to join Brighton & Hove Albion rather than the Blaugrana, according to reports.

Real Madrid Transfer News

* Kylian Mbappe remains in Real Madrid’s future plans, but Los Blancos are eager to not disrupt their squad and, in particular, not shake up their attack. It is stated that if Mbappe were to join Madrid now, it would destabilise Carlo Ancelotti’s team (Defensa Central).

* Andy Roddick has backed former tennis rival Rafael Nadal to succeed Florentino Perez as Real Madrid's president.

* Real Madrid wonderkid Marvel will sign a new contract at the club until 2026, according to Marca.

PSG Transfer News

* Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding €100m in order to sell Randal Kolo Muani to PSG, according to Footmercato.

* Despite this, PSG have made a second lowball offer for the striker, with the bid clocking in at €70m + bonuses, according to Footmercato.

*Kylian Mbappe is slowly but surely inching closer to signing a new Paris Saint-Germain deal after a meeting with the club on Sunday, according to a report by Spanish outlet AS.
