Newcastle could revisit a move for Goncalo Inacio late this window depending on the severity of Sven Botman’s injury, FootballTransfers is told.

The club looked at the Sporting CP defender earlier this window and laid a proposal on the table, but the youngster ended up signing fresh terms with his current side.

Inacio - whose FootballTranfers’ Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) algorithm ranks as €28.9m - has been linked to Liverpool and Manchester United before and is expected to make a move to England eventually.

Newcastle have been busy in Portugal this summer, though all the deals they have made so far, excluding Sandro Tonali from AC Milan, have come from the Premier League.

Antonio Silva is another Newcastle greatly admire but we understand that Benfica want to have the release clause in full - a figure close to €90m.
