Red-hot Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund is "super keen" on a summer transfer to Man Utd, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The renowned transfer reporter rubbished speculation that the Red Devils have already tabled a bargain basement €35m bid.

He did though have some good news for long-suffering United fans, who are desperate to see their team spend bid despite the current Sheikh Jassim vs Sir Jim Ratcliffe takeover battle hampering any summer transfer business.

That news is that Hojlund himself would LOVE a move to Old Trafford, AND the club have the player high on their wanted list.

The asking price for the 20-year-old Atalanta starlet is between €60m and €70m but Romano stressed Erik ten Hag will not overpay. Watch this space.

Man Utd to fight Barca for Brazilian WONDERKID Vitor Roque

Manchester United have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Brazilian starlet Vitor Roque - who is a top target for Barcelona.

The Athletico Paranaense forward has already been capped by his country at senior level, making his debut back in March - just a month after turning 18.

Vitor Roque is thought to be a top target for Barca, while Arsenal have previously been linked with the former Cruzeiro player.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Man Utd have entered the race for the teenage sensation as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season – which sees them return to the Champions League.

And, while Vitor Roque is unlikely to be the instant solution to United’s pressing need for a new number nine, he looks to have immense potential.

He’s scored 15 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions during the 2023 Brazilian season, accounting for seven of Athletico Paranaense’s 18 league goals so far this term.

Man Utd have a SHOCK RIVAL in race to sign Onana

Man Utd face competition from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in their pursuit of Andre Onana this summer.

The Inter Milan star appears to be Man Utd’s top goalkeeper target, with who will fill the number one spot for Erik ten Hag’s side still no clearer – especially after David de Gea became a free agent last Saturday (July 1).

But Onana could instead become just the latest big name to swap one of Europe’s top five leagues for the Saudi Pro League.

According to CBS Sports, Al-Nassr – who signed Ronaldo back in January – have tabled a 'lucrative' bid for the 27-year-old, who joined Inter as a free agent last summer following his departure from Ajax.

Rio Ferdinand provides WORRYING Man Utd takeover update

A Man Utd takeover update from an unlikely source now - former Reds defender Rio Ferdinand.

He believes Sheikh Jassim has gone as high as he is going to go with what is being reported as a fifth bid to acquire the club from the Glazers. Which means we could now be at an impasse.

Ferdinand, speaking on his FIVE Youtube channel, said: "I think they've gone as far as they're gonna go with the bid. This is them, this is their final offer.

"It's a kinda take it or leave it-type situation. I can't see it being anything else [other] than that. I can't see the statement being anything else but 'we are here, we're at the table but we're being held back'."

It's OFFICIAL - Man Utd miss out on 'world's best defender'

Fabrizio Romano has dashed any last hopes Man Utd fans had of still being able to land Kim Min-jae.

Romano already gave his famous 'here we go' on the deal last week, and he has now revealed that the final details will be ironed out this week.

Kim is set to undergo his Bayern Munich medical in the coming days, perhaps already on Wednesday. The club will then officially trigger his €50 million release clause, meaning that Manchester United will have missed out on one of the best defenders in Europe. Indeed, former Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti dubbed the South Korean 'the best defender in the world' back in March.

NO MAN UTD OFFER yet for Amrabat says Romano

Another long-term Man Utd target is Fiorentina's Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, but Fabrizio Romano says there is no bid YET for the talented 26-year-old.

Per Romano, Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone said: “We have not received any bid or proposal for him at all”.

There is one promising nugget to come out of this 'no dice' though - the player is clearly not untouchable.

Barone added, tellingly: “He’s Fiorentina player now. If an offer comes, we will consider it”.
