Atalanta are bracing themselves for an offer from Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund.

The Italian side would rather lose the youngster in 2024 when his value will rise but Hojlund has already informed the club of his desire to leave.

Erik ten Hag has made it clear that the Denmark international is his priority target after he managed to secure Andre Onana from Inter.

As FootballTransfers revealed, the 20-year-old has already agreed on a deal in principle for the striker and now his current outfit are waiting for a bid.

Man Utd have been bolstered by the recent sale of Anthony Elanga to Nottingham Forest, while Dean Henderson is expected to move to the City Ground despite currently being on tour in the States with the Red Devils.

The Premier League side are confident of signing Hojlund, though Paris Saint-Germain have also registered an interest.

There have been reports that it would take near to €90million for the player to move to Old Trafford - but we have been informed that a deal could be done closer to €65m and it will be done if a middle ground is found on the structure of add-ons.

Erik ten Hag’s revolution

Following the acquisition of Hojlund, Ten Hag then wants Sofyan Amrabat to come in as a double pivot for Ten Hag's 4-2-3-1 formation.

The Fiorentina player is out of contract next summer and his agency, CAA Base, have great ties to Man Utd and the Premier League in general.

We understand it’s their intent to realise a move to Man Utd in lieu of interest from the Saudi Arabia Pro League and Atletico Madrid.

If Amrabat and Hojlund do follow Mason Mount and Onana to Man Utd, then Ten Hag will still be in the hunt for a traditional No.9. There is hope from the club’s side that a deal for Harry Kane could be done, but the reality is that they have a string of obstacles to face to see a deal done with Tottenham.

Man Utd need to clear off their wage bill to bring in the players that Ten Hag desires.

It’s fair to say that the recent players bought in since the Dutchman’s arrival have all come from the manager’s side.
