Real Madrid have been told by a Spanish pundit that completing the signing of Gabri Veiga would have the same impact as the transfer of Sergio Ramos.

Gabri Veiga burst onto the scene this season, quickly becoming one of Europe's hottest commodities. The midfielder has racked up nine goals and three assists for Celta Vigo in LaLiga thus far.

Consequently, his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has risen prodigiously, currently peaking at €12.8 million. Moreover, his impressive form has attracted the interest of some big hitters.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal are all said to be intrigued by the prospect of signing the 20-year-old, and the Spaniard has revealed that it would be a dream come true to play in the Premier League.

Additionally, Real Madrid are monitoring the progress of the prodigy, and they have now been told that they need to act quickly to secure the Celta Vigo star.

Real Madrid must swoop in

AS report that Javi Herráez claims that Real Madrid completing the signing of Gabri Veiga would be akin to "when [Sergio] Ramos arrived at the Bernabéu." Such would be the 20-year-old's impact.

Sergio Ramos famously made the switch from Sevilla and went on to become one of the best defenders in football and a Real Madrid legend. Veiga, though a midfielder, could attain the same legendary status, according to Herráez.

He would reportedly cost Los Blancos up to €40m, but he could be a cheaper alternative to Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with Real Madrid for a while.

Despite having a contract until 2026, the possibility of Veiga moving on in the summer seems to be increasing as the youngster is currently reshuffling his cortège.

"The Celta footballer is meeting with the best agencies in search of a new agent to negotiate the contract of his life, since on March 31, the contract with his current representative ends," reports Antón Meana.

"He loves Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Madrid, although his environment advises him to go to the Premier League."
