He told Le Parisien: "Interest of PSG? You know that I am Parisian, I was born and trained here. There is a logical link.

"But whether it's Paris or another club doesn't matter to me. I just want to play. If I have to leave, I'll think about playing as priority."

Kone, who joined 'Gladbach from Toulouse in 2021, has featured 25 times for his club this season, netting one goal and providing one assist.

His contract at the Bundesliga club doesn't expire until 2025, with an option for a further year included in the deal. However, he is expected to leave soon, with clubs beginning to circle.

Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG keen on Kone

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed: "It’s my understanding that three clubs in the moment are leading the race for Manu Kone, one for sure is Chelsea. Chelsea will be there. Manchester United are following the player too, so Chelsea, Man United and PSG.

"Other clubs still have time to enter the race and try to lead the race in the next few weeks but these three clubs are already exploring contacts and situation for Manu Kone.

“So, keep an eye on him because the expectation is for a summer move. It’s my understanding that a summer move will be worth at least, at least €50m with add-ons. So it’s going to be an expensive deal for Manu Kone."

Chelsea signed Enzo Fernandez for a British record €121m in the January transfer window, while Graham Potter's side also purchased Brazilian wonderkid Andrey Santos.

However, the Blues are reportedly keen on adding more talent to their midfield with fears over Mateo Kovacic's future following Thomas Tuchel's appointment at Bayern Munich. The Croatian international has been linked with a transfer to the Allianz Arena in the aftermath of Tuchel's arrival.
