Man Utd urged to sign Uzoho as De Gea replacement

Manchester United had a tough encounter against Omonoia Nicosia in their Europa League game, requiring a late winner to seal the three points.
The Red Devils had 34 shots all game and it took a Scott McTominay winner in the 93rd minute to seal the points and keeping their hopes of topping the group alive.
A big reason for that was Omonoia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who was in excellent form and kept Erik ten Hag’s team out for much of the tie.
So good was his performance that fans were urging for Manchester United to sign him up after the game, acknowledging how good he was in the match.

Uzoho, a Manchester United fan, spoke of his delight at getting the chance to play at Old Trafford after the match and he was grateful for the opportunity he got.
"It's a dream come true for me,” he said. “I have dreamed to play here for a long, long time. When I saw the draw and I figured I would be playing at Old Trafford, I prayed to God that I got an opportunity to play."
Uzoho only got the chance after first-choice goalkeeper Fabiano Freitas suffered an injury before the clash, allowing the Nigerian shot stopper to start the match.
He made a total of 12 saves throughout the match, including a few from Marcus Rashford, Antony and Cristiano Ronaldo’s shots, before McTominay’s goal gave Manchester United the win.

Fans were full or praise for his performances after the game, with many suggesting the Red Devils should sign him, while many pundits feeling he would earn a big move on the back of this performance.
“That’s what it feels like when you have the game of your life. Even when they’ve lost he’s smiling. He was amazing,” Owen Hargreaves said after full-time.
“To think he’s their second keeper blows you away. He’ll nick a move off the back of that performance, I guarantee you. 'This game will change his career, arguably his life. I think that’s what sport is all about, moments like that.”
