Manchester United have set their asking price for in-demand right-back Diogo Dalot.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Man Utd are demanding €25 million in order to sell the Portugal international.

The 23-year-old is one of the top targets for Barcelona in 2023, perhaps as early as January, as the Blaugrana are currently facing a right-back crisis.

Dalot has been one of Man Utd’s surprise performers this season, establishing himself as a first-team regular and being one of the most consistent players in the squad in the early weeks.

This has attracted the interest of not only Barcelona but also a number of big Premier League sides.

What clubs are interested in Dalot?

Juventus, Inter and Milan have all been heavily linked with Dalot, who spent the 2020-21 season on loan with the latter.

Dalot made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri that campaign, but never truly made the right-back spot his.

Nevertheless, he is still well thought-of throughout the club and in Serie A as a whole.

Dalot’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, but Man Utd have an option to extend by another 12 months until 2024.

That will protect his value and is the reason why Man Utd feel confident in quoting his price as €25m.

Man Utd are happy with Dalot’s performances this season and would prefer to extend his contract – especially as they wish to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

But they also plan to sign an elite right-back next season, which will push Dalot down the pecking order.

Dalot joined Man Utd from Porto in 2018 and was immediately hailed as a wonderkid.

He has not lived up to his billing so far but has at last started to show signs of fulfilling his potential this season.
