The future of Inter forward Lautaro Martinez is up for question, with several clubs interested in bringing the Argentine over to their squad in the coming transfer window.

Martinez is one of Europe’s most efficient forwards, having starred for Inter over the years and he contributed to their Serie A win in 2021, ending an 11-year title drought.

Inter may be forced to sell him considering their financial situation, and he is the player they would recoup the biggest fee for, given his age and potential for the future.

Now, it’s been reported there are four sides in the race for Martinez, and three of them are in the Premier League, making a move to England a possibility.

Plenty of interest in Martinez

The three Premier League clubs interested in him are Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea, with all three possibly needing a forward in the future.

Manchester United need a new forward considering how thin they are in that area: Marcus Rashford is starting in that position but they may need a new figure.

Anthony Martial’s fitness is a concern, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is uncertain, with a move for the Portuguese star in the future looking likely.

Chelsea are in need of a new forward given how short they are on options in that area, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their only recognised option.

Tottenham were interested in him last summer, but may only make a move for him if one of Harry Kane of Heung-min Son leave the club soon.

And according to InterLive, Atletico Madrid have entered the race to sign Martinez, but the price may be a bit steep for them given their own financial troubles.

Where Martinez ends up will be interesting to see, but there are four clubs interested in him and they could make a move for him in future windows.
