A transfer for the Portuguese is likely, and there could be another big fee involved for Felix,

Felix transfer dependent on others

Journalist Rudy Galetti wrote about the situation: “For weeks now, Joao Felix would have packed his bags and left Atletico Madrid, dissatisfied with the environment and with his relationship - increasingly cracked - with Cholo Simeone.

“In Europe there are currently two clubs keeping an eye on the Portuguese player: PSG and Manchester United. On the French side, they have been looking for a real No. 9 for some time now, also pushed by Kylian Mbappe who's still unsatisfied with the position that Christophe Galtier reserves him on the pitch.”

A transfer for Felix could be dependent on the future of two players: Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United and Kylian Mbappe at PSG.

Should either leave their clubs, it will free up space for Felix to make a move as he will act as a replacement for the respective player in their teams.

Felix moved to Atletico Madrid in 2019 as Antoine Griezmann’s successor but he hasn’t had the same impact, with big moments being few and far in between.

Recently, he hasn’t played much and Simeone has seemingly questioned his attitude in training, which has raised doubts over their working relationship.

Where he ends up will be interested, but what’s clear is that he has a big future in the game and there is plenty of potential in him to keep getting better.
