Erling Haaland has had a flying start to life at Manchester City, and he’s looking to get those around him even better by asking Jude Bellingham to swap Borussia Dortmund for the reigning Premier League champions.

The two played together at Borussia Dortmund between 2020 and 2022 and formed a fine partnership on and off the pitch together, and now Bellingham is being linked with a move from the German club.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been of interest to some of the top clubs across England and Europe including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Haaland, though, is attempting to lure Bellingham to Manchester City and is doing his bit to ensure his old friend joins him at the Etihad Stadium in the summer of 2023.

Haaland trying to convince Bellingham to join Man City

It’s expected that Bellingham’s transfer saga will dominate the news in the next year as he’s set for a move away from Borussia Dortmund, having done well there since joining.

He has become an important part of their set-up and has even broken through the England squad, with a place on the plane to Qatar for the World Cup looking incredibly likely.

Liverpool are believed to be his likeliest destination with the Reds severely lacking in midfield, having not invested in the area in a long time, but they will have to spend big to secure his signature.

Real Madrid are also believed to be strong contenders and they feel they can get him for a fee slightly lesser than the €100 million reported and add Bellingham to their portfolio of young stars.

Manchester United will only be considered if the club qualify for the Champions League – they’ve been interested in him since he was a teenager but Bellingham opted for Borussia Dortmund instead.

Haaland, though, is doing his best to convince Bellingham to choose City, and they would form a solid core alongside other stars such as Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Ruben Dias.
