Marco Asensio is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, as his contract is running out at the end of the season and an extension on his deal looks unlikely.

Asensio has been linked to a host of clubs in recent times and has also been looking to get a new deal at Los Blancos, but the Spanish and European champions have been unwilling to budge to his wage demands.

The winger has been at Real Madrid since 2015, but after eight years, his spell at the club looks set to come to an end and some Premier League sides are monitoring the situation.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on his contract situation for some time now, and could be ready to pounce if there are no further developments.

Asensio could move to the Premier League

All three of the clubs were looking to sign the winger in the summer window as well, but waited as they knew they could get him for free if they waited for a further year.

Manchester United are keen to add to their attacking depth seeing as they are so thin in that department, and Asensio would be an ideal addition for them.

Arsenal have made it clear that they want a creative winger to add to their side having been linked to Mykhaylo Mudryk and Yeremi in the past, and Asensio may be another consideration.

For Liverpool, Asensio is an option as they want to add more to their team, similar to Manchester United, having lost Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich in the summer.

Real Madrid are not too concerned about losing Asensio as they have Brahim Diaz coming back to the club from Milan, as his loan spell comes to an end, giving them a similar replacement.

Asensio has had a secondary role with the Real Madrid squad this season, rarely starting games, and Carlo Ancelotti has been coy on his plans for the player for the rest of the year.
