Roma forward Tammy Abraham reportedly wants to return to the Premier League as quickly as possible having impressed in his stint at Roma so far.

Abraham left Chelsea in the summer of 2021, eager to show his qualities away from Stamford Bridge and has done that at Jose Mourinho’s side, winning the Europa Conference League – Roma’s first European trophy.

He scored 27 goals across all competitions last season, even earning a place back in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, and could well be on his way to Qatar for the World Cup this winter.

Now, it seems as though he is ready for a return to the Premier League, with the desire to impress in England after a relatively complicated spell last time around in his home country.

Abraham back to Chelsea?

This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport, who says a comeback at Chelsea is a possibility, given the Blues’ lack of firepower up top after the summer transfer window.

Chelsea sold Timo Werner and sent Romelu Lukaku back to Inter on loan, signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling to replace them, and will want a young, pure number nine.

Abraham fits the mold they are looking for in their team, and Todd Boehly will want to give new manager Graham Potter all the tools he needs to succeed at Stamford Bridge.

There could be other suitors for him, such as Manchester United, who are in the market for a forward themselves and they could see Abraham as a viable option.

Given his form and how valuable he is to Roma, he won’t come in cheap, and interested clubs will have to fork out a big sum to sign the 24-year-old.

Chelsea reportedly have a buy-back clause worth £67 million if they want to bring him back to England, and that expires at the end of the current season.
