Arsenal are too good for Dusan Vlahovic now and should not return to try and sign him in the January transfer window, according to FootballTransfers readers.

The Gunners have been linked to a mouth-watering €110 million double swoop in the winter market for Juventus duo Vlahovic and young midfielder Fabio Miretti.

Poll results of Vlahovic to Arsenal

FootballTransfers asked followers on Twitter whether Arsenal should go back and sign Vlahovic in January 2023.

However, only 35.5% of those polled believe that Arsenal should sign Vlahovic.

A big majority of 64.5% voted for Arsenal to stay well away from the Serbian striker.

Vlahovic completed an €80 million transfer to Juventus from Fiorentina in the closing days of the January 2022 market, becoming the most expensive winter signing in Serie A history.

The 22-year-old rejected offers from Arsenal and Spurs in order to join Juventus, with reports that his entourage did not even reply to the Gunners when they tabled their bids.

At the time this was seen as a big blow for Arsenal and yet another example of an exciting talent rejecting them for another major club.

However, things have worked out for the best for Arsenal as they decided to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City instead this past summer.

Jesus has been a revelation in north London, scoring four goals in eight games and leading Arsenal to the top of the Premier League.

Vlahovic, meanwhile, has been playing for a Juventus team in complete crisis. The Bianconeri have won just two of their last 13 games dating back to last season and are currently in eighth place in Serie A and on the brink of exiting the Champions League.
