The 22 players linked to Man Utd since Monday

Manchester United have been linked with an incredible 22 players since the beginning of this week as the transfer market goes bonkers.
The Red Devils are expected to be the most active club in Europe in the closing two weeks of the transfer window.

The reason for this is because Man Utd have endured a disastrous start to the 2022-23 season.
They currently sit bottom of the Premier League after the first two matches of the campaign with zero points, one goal and six conceded.
They lost their first game 2-1 at home to Brighton before being thumped 4-0 by Brentford in matchday two.
It couldn’t have been a worst beginning to Erik ten Hag’s reign as coach and Man Utd are now being forced into splashing the cash to improve their squad.
They need to after a poor transfer window in which they have only signed three players for the senior side; Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and free transfer Christian Eriksen.

Unsurprisingly, United have been linked to a multitude of players from the major media outlets since Monday of this week alone.
Some of these players we know for sure that Man Utd have been in talks for.
These include Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong and Juventus centre mid Adrien Rabiot. However, it is understood that both deals are not off the table.
Subsequently, it is widely reported since Tuesday that United have opened talks to sign Real Madrid star Casemiro. Alternatives at centre midfield mentioned by the media include Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Man Utd are also looking to sign a striker given the uncertainty over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future. In the last few days, they have been linked to Leicester veteran Jamie Vardy, Lyon’s Moussa Dembele, PSG’s Mauro Icardi, Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, Joao Felix and Matheus Cunha, and Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic.
We also know that Ten Hag wishes to sign a winger. His primary target remains Ajax’s Antony, but United have also been linked in the last two to three days to Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech, and PSV’s Cody Gakpo.
United are desperate for a new right-back and have been linked since the start of the week to Barcelona’s Sergino Dest and Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier.
Finally, United are in the market to sign a new goalkeeper, who could easily replace David de Gea as the number one. Leeds have reportedly rejected a bid for Illan Meslier, while Borussia Monchengladbach’s Yann Sommer has also been linked.
In total, that is 22 players linked in less than three days. And expect many more as Man Utd begin to panic buy!
