Arsenal have submitted a fresh offer for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in Italy.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Mikel Arteta's side have bid €55 million plus Lucas Torreira for the Serbian striker.

Torreira is currently on loan at the Serie A side, and has an option to buy in his contract at Fiorentina, which brings Arsenal's offer for Vlahovic down from €70m to €55m plus the midfielder.

Multiple sources have confirmed Arsenal's interest in Vlahovic, who has scored 16 Serie A goals, and assisted two, in just 19 games so far this season.

The 21-year-old striker joined La Viola from Partizan in his homeland Serbia back in 2018, and experienced a breakout calendar year in 2021.

He scored 33 league goals during the year, to equal the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2020, and only Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski scored more goals in Europe's top five leagues than the Serbian last year.

He is reportedly top of Arsenal's shopping list, and the Gunners are understood to have made an opening offer a few months ago.

This improved offer is currently being considered by Fiorentina, although reports suggest Vlahovic isn't sold on joining Arsenal, and would prefer to move in the summer, rather than mid-season.

Arsenal, and Arteta, are desperate for a new centre-forward, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future at the club unsure, and Alexandre Lacazette into the final six months of his deal at The Emirates.

Aubameyang is heavily linked with a move away in January, and Vlahovic is the club's number one choice to replace the Gabon international.

Fiorentina are yet to respond to Arsenal's latest offer.
