Confirmed: Alejandro Garnacho wants €60m Chelsea transfer

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly set his sights on joining Chelsea this summer as he prepares to leave Manchester United after five years at the club.
The Argentina international moved to Old Trafford as a 16-year-old back in 2020, but he is expected to depart during the 2025 summer transfer window after a public bust-up with head coach Ruben Amorim.
Garnacho’s relationship with Amorim has been strained for several months and things reached boiling point after his cameo appearance during the Europa League final.
Amorim opted to select Mason Mount ahead of Garnacho against Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentine expressed his anger at his lack of involvement during a fiery post-match interview.
“Before the final, I played every match, I helped the team. Today, playing 20 minutes,” he told reporters.
“Can it influence my future? The match has an impact but the season itself was crap and the situation at the club… I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
Amorim has now informed Garnacho to find a new club, while the 20-year-old’s actions during Man Utd’s post-season tour of Asia suggest that an exit is imminent.

Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea?
Chelsea and Napoli were both interested in signing Garnacho in January, and the Argentina winger has now informed his representatives of his desire to join Enzo Maresca’s side this summer, according to The Sun.
Garnacho is reportedly eager to establish himself as a “world star” in the Premier League and he believes joining Chelsea, who have signed a plethora of talented youngsters over the past few years, would be the perfect next step for his development.
The Blues are actively chasing a new left winger amid Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension for doping, and Garnacho is among their key transfer targets, along with Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens.
Man Utd reportedly value Garnacho at roughly €60 million (£50m) and Chelsea are continuing to monitor his situation as they consider a potential bid.
