Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing England international Jack Grealish amid his uncertain future at Manchester City.

The 28-year-old was a regular under Pep Guardiola last year, but he has only started 10 Premier League games in 2023-24 and reports of a possible summer exit have emerged in recent months.

Grealish joined City for a whopping €117.5 million back in 2021 and while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at just, it’s likely Guardiola’s side would demand a far higher fee to consider a sale.

However, Grealish’s name has been discussed by Chelsea, according to Simon Phillips. The Chelsea journalist told his Substack page: “Another winger I am told has been internally discussed at Chelsea recently, is Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.

“The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Aston Villa in recent weeks, and due to his bit-part role at City, there is a belief in the industry that he will be available for transfer this summer and also, he is likely to be open to moving to another club where he will have a more important role at.

“Chelsea have good transfer relations with City and of course, have signed Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer from them in recent years, both at reasonable fees.”

How Chelsea would line up with Jack Grealish

Although a summer move to Chelsea it’s unlikely as things stand, Grealish could be an interesting addition for the Blues.

The England winger possesses the top level experience that Mauricio Pochettino desires and he would be an upgrade on the underwhelming Mykhailo Mudryk, who has failed to impress since joining from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Raheem Sterling has also been a disappointment since arriving from Man City and has been linked with a summer exit.

Grealish’s possible arrival would help Chelsea dominate possession on a more regular basis, while he could rediscover his Aston Villa form in Pochettino’s less structured attacking system.

Djordje Petrovic is evidently the number one ‘keeper, while Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill and Ben Chilwell is Chelsea’s best back four when everyone is available.

A midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia is yet to be seen due to the latter’s injury problems this season, but could be an interesting proposition next year.

As for the forward line, Grealish would be deployed on the left, alongside Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer, who has shone since arriving last year.
