Ajax in chaos as Antony transfer tactic copied by Everton target

Antony refused to play for Ajax in forcing his €100 million move to Manchester United, and now Everton target Mohammed Kudus has drawn inspiration from the Brazilian winger.
"It's not good. It's a shame it happened," Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder said of Antony ahead of the Dutch champions' meeting with Cambuur on Saturday. "Personally, I just think it's bad. I think that's weird. He was eventually addressed about [going on strike].
"If you're Ajax, it's just bad that this happens, I understand if you're disappointed for a day or two, but you're also a professional. But within a few days you will understand what is going on. Then I'll just continue with the guys who are there."

Unfortunately for Schreuder, he now has the same situation with Kudus, after the club turned down Everton's advances for the 22-year-old Ghana international midfielder.
"Mohammed Kudus is following Antony's example to force a transfer and refused to train on Wednesday," reports De Telegraaf's Mike Verwiej.
"The midfielder has agreed personal terms with Everton, who want to buy him from Ajax, but the Amsterdam side refuse to cooperate."
Martinez not mincing his words
Marc Overmars has left the club which has reportedly left Gerry Hamstra exposed in his role as technical manager. Verweij continues that Lisandro Martinez told Hamstra he was a "f***ing nobody" ahead of his own, €66mm move to United in July.

Ajax have haemorrhaged players already this summer. As well as Antony and Martinez leaving for Old Trafford, last season's top scorer Sebastien Haller went to Borussia Dortmund for €34.5m while another promising midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch, joined Bayern for €23m.
Steven Bergwijn and Calvin Bassey have been recruited from Tottenham Hotspur and Rangers respectively, while Brian Brobbey has returned from RB Leipzig, but Schreuder and Co. will have to get the dressing room under control quickly.
