Paul Pogba is set to use sports lawyer Mike Morgan to fight his potentially career-ending doping ban, reports suggest.

The Juventus midfielder has turned to the specialist, who has worked with the likes of Tyson Fury, Conor Benn, and Chris Froome, reports the Daily Mail.

Firm Morgan Sports Law - who refused to comment when asked by the publication - aided the athletes when they faced similar doping investigations.

It’s thought that Morgan’s work is underway in challenging the ban after Pogba tested positive for testosterone-boosting DHEA.

The same report states that Pogba could face a four-year ban - the standard punishment for such a charge.

Juventus have also stopped paying Pogba's £130,000-a-week wages amid the accusations. Pogba opted not to make a plea bargain with Italy's anti-doping agency so the case will be tried before the country's anti-doping court. At the age of 30, a four-year ban could end Pogba's career, though there is the possibility that he could move to play in the Saudi Pro League or MLS.

Pogba vehemently denies any wrongdoing but has not refuted the claim that DHEA was in his system. Morgan is likely to argue that his taking of the drug was a mistake and that the former Manchester United player had no idea how it got into his system, having ingested it unwittingly.

Who has offered support to Paul Pogba?

Pogba has received messages of support during the ordeal. France manager Didier Deschamps messages him regularly, while there have been supportive messages from the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane.

Pogba has already sat out for two months of football following a suspension in September but he is yet to be charged for the offence.

It’s believed that Pogba's camp believes they have strong mitigating factors in overturning the suspension.
