Having constructed two of the most exciting teams in modern history, Luis Enrique has worked with several superstars.

From Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, the dazzling front three who fired Barcelona to the treble in 2014-15, to Joao Neves, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz, the lifeblood of Paris Saint-Germain's successive Champions League titles in 2025 and 2026.

But which players has Luis Enrique signed en route to winning those prizes? And who were the most expensive?

With those questions in mind, FootballTransfers takes a look at the Spaniard's 10 most expensive signings.

10. Lucas Chevalier/Willian Pacho (PSG - €40m/£34.6m)

Luis Enrique spent the same amount of money to acquire defender Willian Pacho and goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

In a dream first season in France, Pacho helped PSG win an elusive first Champions League crown in 2025, keeping a clean sheet against Inter Milan in the final.

The same cannot be said about Chevalier, however, whose struggles in 2025-26 saw him replaced by Matvey Safonov as PSG retained their European title in 2026.

9. Bradley Barcola/Lucas Hernandez (PSG - €45m/£39m)

Luis Enrique shelled out the same fee once again to lure two players to PSG: Bradley Barcola and Lucas Hernandez.

Both arriving in the summer of 2023, Barcola and Hernandez joined Pacho in helping PSG win the second treble of Luis Enrique’s career in 2024-25.

8. Ousmane Dembele/Desire Doue/Maghnes Akliouche (PSG - €50m/£43.3m)

If there is one player who is the embodiment of Luis Enrique’s world-class coaching abilities, it is Ousmane Dembele.

Following Kylian Mbappe’s departure in 2024, Dembele has morphed from a winger into a free-scoring false number nine under Luis Enrique’s tutelage.

Flanking Dembele in PSG’s all-conquering side is Desire Doue, another graduate from Rennes’ academy who moved to Parc des Princes in 2024.

In a debut season for the ages, Doue scored twice in the 2025 Champions League final - the first teenager (19 years and 362 days) to ever do so.

And versatile attacker Akliouche will be hoping to enjoy similar success in the French capital after joining from Monaco in August 2026.

Capable of playing across the front line with excellent work-rate, the France international registered six goals and as many assists in Ligue 1 in 2025-26.

7. Manuel Ugarte (PSG - €60m/£52m)

In the same summer which saw PSG sign Dembele, Hernandez and Barcola, Luis Enrique splashes the cash on Uruguay international Manuel Ugarte.

However, despite making 37 appearances in 2023-24, Ugarte was sold to Manchester United after just one season with the Ligue 1 giants.

6. Illia Zabarnyi (PSG - €63m/£54.6m)

Keen to add depth to PSG's defence, Luis Enrique turned to the Premier League when deciding to spend big on Illia Zabarnyi in 2025.

The Ukrainian made 37 appearances for PSG in 2025-26, scoring his first goal in a 2-0 Ligue 1 victory over Auxerre in September 2025.

5. Goncalo Ramos (PSG - €65m/£56.4m)

Before Luis Enrique decided to use Dembele as a false nine, he initially tried to build a fluid attack which featured a typical centre forward.

However, the man signed for that role - Goncalo Ramos - scored just two goals in 2023-24 and was eventually pushed aside by Dembele.

4. Joao Neves (PSG - €65.9m/£57.1m)

After signing Ramos from Benfica, Luis Enrique raided the Portuguese' giants once again when landing Joao Neves in 2024.

And Neves has since developed a telepathic relationship with compatriot Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz - the midfield trio having played a huge part in launching PSG's golden era.

3. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG - €80m/£69.4m)

A rare foray into the winter transfer market saw Luis Enrique convince Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to leave Napoli for PSG in January 2025.

And Georgia’s greatest ever player has sparkled in Paris, joining Doue on the scoresheet in the 2025 Champions League final.

2. Luis Suarez (Barcelona - €86.4m/£75m)

Luis Enrique and Barcelona signed Luis Suarez from Liverpool in 2014 in a deal which - looking back - could be considered a bargain.

For the watching world would witness Suarez form the greatest front three in history alongside Messi and Neymar - the trio scoring a ridiculous 122 goals between them in 2014-15.

1. Randal Kolo Muani (PSG - €95m/£82.4m)

Luis Enrique and PSG broke the bank to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023.

However, Kolo Muani and Luis Enrique spent just 18 months in each other’s company before, after a series of loans, the former joined Juventus on a permanent basis in 2026.
