Mario Balotelli has insisted he would reject a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain if he was had the opportunity unless he was offered ‘€10 million per season’.

Balotelli, who currently plays for Turkish side Adana Demirspor, was speaking to Italian media and revealed he would not go to PSG due to his loyalty for his former teams in France.

The forward made 61 appearances for Nice between 2016 and 2019, netting 33 goals, before joining Marseille in January 2019 for six months, where he played 15 times, scoring eight.

However, he quickly reneged on his claim and admitted a €10m contract would change his mind, even quipping he would move to his brother’s team in Serie D for that type of money.

“Go to PSG? There is no possibility. I played in Marseille and Nice, so there is no way,” Balotelli told TV Play. “What if an offer of €10M per season arrives? In that case I would accept. For 10 million I would go to my brother's team [Rovato Calcio].”

Balotelli is perhaps unlikely to ever be approached by PSG at the age of 33 and playing for the tenth team in his career, however the Italian is still a cult favourite at many of his clubs due to his personality and outspoken nature.

Balotelli's recent career highlights

Balotelli is in his second spell with Adana, having played for them in the 2021/22 season when he scored 18 goals for the newly promoted Super Lig side.

He then moved to Swiss side Sion but his two year contract was terminated after just one year, having scored just six times in 18 games.

Balotelli scored twice on his return to Astana and the Turkish club have an option to extend his deal for another year, after signing him until the end of the season outside the transfer window last month.
