Kylian Mbappe continues to train with PSG’s undesirable players less than a week before the French side kick off their Ligue 1 campaign against Lorient at Parc des Princes.

The impasse between the player and the club remains total, with Mbappe having refused to budge when PSG offered him a new contract, and the club unwilling to integrate the 24-year-old striker back into their plans, believing he has agreed to leave as a free agent to Real Madrid next summer.

Le Parisien reports that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi feels “betrayed” by the forward, with “high treason” spoken of by the publication.

In any case, Mbappe will continue to train with those players that PSG want to sell this summer. In France, it is known as being put ‘in the loft’.

According to agent Bruno Satin, Mbappe is doing himself no favours.

“In terms of his image, the one who loses the most is still Mbappe,” he explained. “He is severely blurring his image by showing this spoiled child side of his face. His mucking about is also affecting his image in Spain.

“All this is the consequence of management errors. PSG gave everything to Mbappe, who would probably have done better to go free last year if he wanted to go to Real. And now it's hard for everyone to fix this mistake.”

Mbappe losing more than PSG

Satin added that the biggest loser in a scenario whereby Mbappe did not play for a season would be the player himself.

“Where PSG would benefit from not playing him even if he stays – even if it makes some people grimace – is that for once the club would show its strength. It’s something we’ve never seen before,” he explained.

“It would be a shame to deprive yourself of Kylian's services and the money it could generate, but if money really mattered to PSG for all these years, we’d know all about it,” he added ironically.

Real Madrid, for their part, have not moved on a possible transfer this summer and, like Mbappe, have stayed quiet over the battle.
