The launch of EA Sports FC 24 is fast approaching and the new game is beginning to take shape following the loss of the tag ‘FIFA’ and the re-branding as EA FC.

The formerly known FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) will now be known as simply ‘Ultimate Team’ and is likely to be the most popular game mode yet again.

This year, however, there are a number of new features in Ultimate Team, including the introduction of women’s football players.

EA FC 24 does not launch until September, but a leak on social media has revealed potential early Ultimate Team ratings for some of football’s biggest stars.

The reliability of this leak is unknown, especially considering it is likely from a closed beta version of EA FC 24, but it has thrown up some interesting talking points, most notably regarding Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

For the first time in their professional careers, both stars are currently playing outside of Europe, with Messi starting a new journey at Inter Miami this summer, while Ronaldo remains an Al-Nassr player after joining the Saudi Arabian club in 2022.

Both players began the summer with silverware as Messi guided Inter Miami to their first ever trophy - Leagues Cup - thanks to 10 goals and one assist in just seven appearances, while Ronaldo helped Al-Nassr to Arab Club Champions Cup glory, taking home the Golden Boot with six goals in six games.

What is Lionel Messi’s EA FC 24 rating?

Messi’s leaked EA FC 24 rating is 90. The Inter Miami star is a right winger in the game, with 80 pace, 87 shooting, 90 passing, 94 dribbling, 33 defending and 64 physical.

His overall rating has decreased by one from his 91 rating in FIFA 23.

What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s EA FC 24 rating?

Ronaldo’s leaked EA FC 24 rating is 86. The Al-Nassr star is a striker in the game, with 77 pace, 88 shooting, 75 passing, 79 dribbling, 34 defending and 74 physical.

His overall rating has decreased by four from his 90 rating in FIFA 23.

Messi’s base EA FC 24 card is four ratings higher than Ronaldo’s which is the outstanding difference between the two players. The former Barcelona forward has better pace, passing and dribbling, while the ex-Real Madrid star has better shooting, defending and physical.

Both players have, however, suffered downgrades from FIFA 23.
