An unnamed Saudi club has made an 'irresistible' offer for Barcelona star Ansu Fati, according to Spanish media.

The La Masia product has been repeatedly linked with an exit this summer. Having failed to really kick on after bursting on the scene, the 20-year-old is said to be seen as dispensable by the Barcelona hierarchy in their seemingly never-ending quest to balance the books.

The sale of Fati would have flushed some much-needed cash into the Blaugrana's coffers, but rumours about potential departure went cold in recent weeks. Aston Villa, previously said to be interested, ended up signing Moussa Diaby.

Now, however, new rumours have surfaced. Initially linked with Paris Saint-Germain in recent days, an unnamed Saudi club has now entered the fray with an offer journalist Javi Miguel claims to be 'irresistible.'

A not-so-irresistible offer

Gerard Romero, however, believes that it is not quite so irresistible. In fact, he asserts that the youngster has no intention to move to the Middle East, just as he had no intention to move to Paris.

Fati is keen to remain with the Blaugrana and fight for his place. The sale of Ousmane Dembele to PSG will certainly give him more opportunities to shine as he has already done in pre-season, scoring the winner against AC Milan last week.

Barcelona will certainly be licking their lips at the prospect of selling Fati for big money to Saudi Arabia, but there is little they can do if the player is not keen on the move.

Franck Kessie, meanwhile, will be heading to the Middle East as he is on the verge of completing a €15 million move to Al-Ahli. This sum and the money received from Dembele's sale could go a long way towards signing Joao Cancelo from Manchester City, though some of it could also be spent on trying to make a deal happen for Neymar, who is now closer than ever to a sensational return.
