Pedri has rejected the notion of joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona.

The youngster was asked about the rumors linking him with a move from the Parc des Princes, but he stressed that he would remain with the Catalans for ‘many years.

Pedri replied to La Vanguardia when asked about a possible switch to Paris. “PSG? It would take a lot of things to take me out of Barça. Rumors don't interest me, I want Barça, and I will stay here for many more years. My goal is to become a captain and play at the new Spotify Camp Nou."

He continued: "I don't keep an eye on the offers that come my way. My representatives receive that. I tell them that if they want to listen, they should do it. And they will tell me, but I'm focused on what is important to me, which is to train, play, and enjoy.

"But a lot of things have to happen for me to leave this club. It would have to be very bad and very unpleasant. I see it as very unlikely; Barça is the club of my dreams, and I want to stay for many more years."

Pedri was absent for two months in the second half of the 2022/23 season after he picked up a muscle injury, which occurred again in March.

Xavi says Pedri is difference-maker

Barcelona boss Xavi has stated that his side looks entirely different when Pedri is involved - and that their new addition, Ilkay Gundogan, means that they are bolstered on that front going forward.

One name who might go to PSG is Ousmane Dembele. The 26-year-old had recommitted his future to Barca last summer after signing a new two-year deal, but now he appears to be heading back to France.

It is thought that the side is closing in on an agreement worth in excess of his €50 million release clause that expired at the end of July.
