Messi has house prepared for Barcelona RETURN

On the day that Marca reports that Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal are set to make an astronomical offer for Lionel Messi, Gerard Romero reports that the Argentine is preparing his house in Barcelona for a return there.

On Wednesday, Marca reported that the World Cup winner is on his way to Saudi Arabia - thanks to the country's government.

It was reported that Al-Hilal are preparing a massive $400 million-per-year offer.

Al-Hilal would be supported in their bid to bring Messi to the Pro League by the Saudi Ministry of Sports, and the government would even consider changing its salary laws to accommodate him.

However, Gerard Romero is reporting that a return to Barcelona is likelier this summer.

Romero says that Messi has had his house in Castelldefels prepared to live in again ahead of a return to Barcelona.

He adds that Barcelona are working on bringing Messi back - and that they are Leo’s preferred destination.

Messi’s future at PSG is increasingly in doubt.

The 35-year-old’s contract at PSG expires at the end of the current season, with the Parisians currently in negotiations to renew his deal.

But Messi has not agreed a new contract and there are growing feelings that he may decide to leave Paris.

As well as Al-Hilal and Barcelona, Inter Miami would like to bring Messi to Major League Soccer.

Messi departure from Barcelona

Messi completed a shock Free Transfer to PSG in the summer of 2021 after he was unable to sign a new contract with Barcelona.

The Argentine legend broke virtually every record during over 20 years at Camp Nou, scoring an incredible 672 goals in 778 games.

He endured a difficult first season at PSG with just six Ligue 1 goals but has been back to his best this campaign.

He has 18 goals and 17 assists in all competitions so far for PSG and he also led Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar.

The Argentine was also crowned player of the year at the FIFA Best ceremony in Paris at the end of February.
