Barcelona confirm they have unfinished business in the transfer market

Barcelona's sporting director Jordi Cruyff has confirmed the Blaugrana intend to dip back into the transfer market despite their hub of activity during the summer window.
The Camp Nou side added seven new players to their roster during the 2022 summer transfer window, although only three of these required a transfer fee due to the club's use of the free agent market.
Similar to the signing of Memphis Depay last summer and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, Barcelona picked up Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Marcos Alonso and Hector Bellerin on free transfers, deciding to spend money on Jules Kounde, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha.

According to reports, doubts have already crept in about the addition of Raphinha, while Kounde has spent time out injured, but Lewandowski has provided goals as expected.
However, a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in El Clasico and a disappointing Champions League campaign that leaves them on the verge of a group stage exit for the second consecutive season has led the aforementioned Cruyff to admit more transfer business is needed.
Goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo Goes sealed the first El Clasico win of the season for Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid, and condemned Xavi to an 11th loss as Barcelona manager.
The defeat confirmed Xavi's record over the course of his first 50 games in charge is the worst of any Barcelona manager to reach that milestone in history.
And, according to Cruyff, Barcelona are prepared to delve back into the market in order to rectify the issues currently facing Xavi.
What has been said?
Cruyff told Mundo Deportivo after the defeat to Los Blancos: "It is our job, with the technical team. Always analysing, what is coming in the next 12-18 months, being alert to the market.
"We made a big change in the summer, obviously we could not finish everything we started."
