Barcelona are in the market for a new right-back, despite the fact that they signed Hector Bellerin on the final day of this past summer’s transfer window.

The club have been adamant on improving in that position for some time and want to get it sorted as quickly as possible, with a variety of players targeted.

In recent days, they’ve been eyeing Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot, but that pursuit may be difficult as he also has other suitors, with the English club also keen to keep hold of him.

Now, they’re targeting another player: Stephane Singo of Torino, who is also of interest to clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham and there could be a transfer battle for his signature.

Interest high in Singo

According to Sport, Barcelona are huge admirers of Singo, have tracked his progressed several times over the last few months and would be interested in bringing him over to the Camp Nou.

There were reports in the summer that Arsenal and Tottenham were to battle it out for Singo’s signature in the summer, with fees of around £15 million quoted for the player.

In the end, no move was completed as Tottenham ended up signing Djed Spence and Arsenal focused on their current options, but the player is still on the radar of both clubs.

The Ivory Coast international’s contract expires at the end of the season and for that reason, Barcelona are also now tracking him, with the player’s qualities of a particular interest to the Catalan club.

It’s been said that they might also be looking for a cut-price deal in January to avoid any potential transfer battles and will want to move quickly to get that done.

Torino do have the option to take up a one-year extension on his deal, and may want to trigger that soon if they want to get any sort of fee for the player in the future.
