Barcelona's Ansu Fati concerns grow

Barcelona are having concerns over the fitness of Ansu Fati, with the player still unable to hit his very best form for the club since returning from injury back in May.
The winger was recently not picked by Luis Enrique for the Spanish national team, which has raised doubts over his form and fitness.
Xavi, however, is adamant that his form will return and is keen to keep giving him a chance to improve in the coming months, with the hope that he will return to his best.
There have been some whispers within the squad that the player is going to take longer than expected to get back to his peak form and on his track for development.

During the international break, Ansu Fati was given a specific plan to help his development and has been working on it in the two weeks that his other team-mates have been away.
The player wants to be ready in time for the World Cup, and Enrique himself wants to see the improvement in the player having been a fan of him.

Ansu Fati has suffered from several injuries over the last two years, having suffered a problem in a match against Real Betis first, before recurring problems.
One club source believes he is not fully up to speed: "The training sessions help a lot to gauge the state of the footballer, but where you really assess where each one is in the matches and this is where Ansu shows that he is not yet 100%."
“His speed and power values are normal, but it is true that he lacks spark, he gives the feeling that he is playing with the handbrake,” the source continued, believing that the winger will require more time and patience.
How much he improves in the coming weeks will be interesting to note, as one of the game’s highly-rated youngsters looks to make a worthwhile comeback.
