Real Madrid’s plan for the transfer window revealed by Florentino Perez

Real Madrid secured the European Super Cup with a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, and in the aftermath president Florentino Perez explained what business he expects the club to conduct before the end of the 2022 summer transfer window.
Goals from David Alaba and Karim Benzema gave Los Blancos yet another continental crown in the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and the hierarchy of the club clearly feel that the team is well poised to enjoy another successful campaign.
There has been talk of Real Madrid dipping back into the market to supplement their options at centre forward, where Karim Benzema is their only natural option, but this has been rejected by Perez.

“At this point, we don’t envisage making any other signings,” Perez told Cadena Cope.
“If Karim Benzema is ill, we have other attackers so that doesn’t worry me. That Karim deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year is indisputable.”
Quiet summer transfer window for Real Madrid
In contrast to fierce rivals Barcelona, who have spent more money than any other club in world football, Real Madrid have had a quiet summer transfer window. Their only arrival this summer for a fee has been Aurelien Tchouameni, the France midfielder who joined up from Monaco for an initial fee of €80 million, with the figure potentially rising to €100m with bonuses.
Antonio Rudiger, meanwhile, has joined on a free transfer from Chelsea to bolster the club’s defensive options.
Neither of these players started the midweek victory over Frankfurt, with Ancelotti instead electing to field the team that defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Meanwhile, a string of fringe players have departed the club, including Luka Jovic, Isco, Gareth Bale and Marcelo, who have all left on free transfers.
Real Madrid begin the defence of their La Liga title on Sunday evening, when they travel to face Almeria away from home.
