Ancelotti's Real Madrid successor CHOSEN
Real Madrid have chosen Xabi Alonso to take over from Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Their former player turned down the chance to join Liverpool over the summer, instead continuing his journey with Bayer Leverkusen.
Last term, Xabi won a domestic double, while he also led Bayer to the Europa League final. The club have not got off to the best start this time around but there is still a reason to believe that Alonso is among Europe's elite managers.
A report from Sky Sport has provided significant detail about the club's future. It read: "Real Madrid is preparing its revolution in 2025. In its sights, a new technician in the person of Xabi Alonso (who has a clause linked to Real Madrid in the new contract he signed at Bayer Leverkusen in August 2023) whose representatives have already held concrete discussions with the Madrid leaders in recent months."

The outlet goes on to say that the La Liga giants are hoping to entice Alonso by purchasing Bayer wonderkid Florian Wirtz, who is thought to be a "real priority for June 2025." It's believed that talks have already taken place between the club and the German international.
Manchester City have also made their interest known in Alonso, but Pep Guardiola has not signed a fresh deal past the season so it very much remains open.
Guler lack of minutes
It comes after the news that Los Blancos are concerned about the management of Arda Güler and Endrick.
They see Guler is progressing well but are worried about his lack of game time. There is a running trend, they feel, of the Turkey international playing well and then not getting minutes for three straight matches, reports Revelo.
As a result, Ancelotti's position at the club appears to be in danger. The report says that "sources in the Madrid team do not rule out the possibility that 'Carletto' could be fired if his team does not win in the next few days , which weeks ago was a far-fetched assumption."
