Man Utd plan fresh bid for €85m superstar
Manchester United are reportedly ready to rekindle their interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite next year.
The 22-year-old was linked with an Old Trafford switch for the entirety of the summer transfer window, with Man Utd submitting several offers to Everton in a bid to finalise a deal for the talented defender.
However, the Red Devils were unwilling to match Everton’s asking price of close to €85 million and a move failed to materialise.

As a result, Man Utd opted to sign both Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt instead, with Branthwaite remaining at Goodison Park.
Despite this, the Old Trafford outfit are now ready to re-ignite their pursuit of Branthwaite in 2025, according to talkSPORT.
The Everton star remains at the top of their transfer wish-list and sporting director Dan Ashworth reportedly believes Branthwaite would suit Ruben Amorim’s style of play and his preferred 3-4-3 formation.

The 22-year-old is also admired by Liverpool, although the Reds could potentially end their interest in Branthwaite if they finalise a contract extension agreement with club captain Virgil van Dijk.
Branthwaite has only started one Premier League game so far this season, due to injury, while he has appeared off the bench in each of Everton’s last two matches.
Jarrad Branthwaite to Man Utd?
Sporting CP duo Goncalo Inacio and Ousmane Diomande have also been linked with a move to Man Utd following the appointment of Amorim, although the Red Devils appear to be focused on completing a deal for Branthwaite.
Rumours suggest that both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof could be set to depart Old Trafford next summer, and Man Utd are eager to bolster their defensive options as a result.
Branthwaite is the club’s primary target and the Englishman will have two years remaining on his current Everton contract when the 2025 summer window opens.
