EXCLUSIVE: Jorginho considering Arsenal coaching role
Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is considering moving into a coaching role with the Gunners when his current deal expires in 2025, FootballTransfers has been informed.
The Italy international has less than 12 months remaining on his existing contract at Arsenal and talks regarding his future have already taken place.
The 32-year-old joined the Gunners from Chelsea in January 2023 and he immediately established himself as a key figure in north London, with Mikel Arteta frequently leaning on his experience in the dressing room.

Jorginho is now considering his future at Arsenal and he currently has two options on the table. FootballTransfers understands that the Italian can either extend his playing career for at least one more year or join Arteta’s coaching staff.
The ex-Napoli star only signed an 18-month deal upon his arrival at the Emirates Stadium, but he soon agreed a one-year contract extension to keep him at the club until 2025, as exclusively reported by FootballTransfers.
During these discussions, the idea of Jorginho joining Arsenal’s coaching team was floated and it remains a topic of conversation, although the Italian is yet to make a firm decision on which option he prefers.

Jorginho’s Arsenal future
A possible coaching role alongside Arteta aligns with Jorginho’s growing influence at Arsenal. The Italian has become a trusted voice in the Gunners’ dressing room and we have been told that he played a key role in the summer acquisition of Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Despite this, Jorginho is yet to rule out signing another contract extension with Arsenal in order to prolong his playing career.
The former Chelsea midfielder, who won the Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge, has played 55 times for Arsenal, although his only Premier League appearance so far this season came during the 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
