Paris Saint-Germain have frequently bothered Vinicius Jr over his Real Madrid contract in recent months.

Vinicius has two years remaining on his current deal, though he has reportedly agreed to a long-term extension.

The Brazilian registered 22 goals and 20 assists in all competitions in the 2021-22 season, leading to interest from a host of Europe's top clubs.

And PSG, in particular, have been in contact with Vinicius' representatives lately, urging him not to sign a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu.

According to Marca, the Ligue 1 champions offered the 21-year-old a remarkable £34.3 million-a-year salary, as well as a 'generous bonus' and 'business opportunities in Qatar'.

Madrid could not get close to this figure but, thankfully for Los Blancos, Vinicius is keen to stay in the Spanish capital.

Indeed, he is going to sign a deal worth around £8.6m per year, running until 2026 or 2027.

Vinicius to stay in Madrid

In addition to PSG, Premier League clubs Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United were also interested in signing Vinicius.

But, the Brazilian's camp have made his intentions of staying in Madrid clear to all concerned.

On that note, his new contract is set to include a release clause of £870m, effectively ruling him out of a move away from the Bernabeu for the foreseeable future.

The clause is at such a high price that even state-backed clubs PSG and Newcastle United would be unable to sanction a deal.

Real Madrid president is adamant that Vinicius will go on to win the Ballon d'Or and he wants that to happen in the white of Real.

''Nobody wants to sell Vinicius,'' Perez told Marca. ''I think he's going to be the Ballon d'Or for sure, like Benzema is going to be now.

''I think he will be amazing. The 18-year-old boy who came to Castilla, he is not the one we know now. Every year he improves.

''Are there problems renewing Vinicius? None. He always says that he will not move from Madrid.''
