Mohamed Salah has said that he will play with Liverpool next season "for sure".

Speculation has surrounded the Egypt international striker for months due to difficulties in him agreeing on a new contract.

His present deal with the Anfield club expires in 2023, meaning this summer could be the last chance Liverpool have to sell him for a reasonable price.

Salah, though, has rubbished any suggestion that he might depart the club.

"In my mind, I don't focus on my contract at the moment. I don't want to be selfish. It's about the team, an important week," he told the media. "I want to win the Champions League again, I want to see Jordan Henderson with the trophy in his hand.

"I am staying next season for sure, that's clear."

He had been linked with a possible summer move to PSG, who were thought to need a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. However, the France international has signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 club and killed those rumours dead.

Another big year for Salah

Salah, meanwhile, is coming off the back of another extraordinary season, in which he shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Son Heung-min of Tottenham by scoring 23 goals. In addition, he created 14 more.

Indeed, the 30-year-old has been a picture of consistency since arriving at Liverpool from Roma in 2017. In each of his five campaigns, he has scored at least 20 goals, while he has broken the 30-strike barrier in each of the last two seasons.

Collectively, it has been another banner year for Jurgen Klopp's side. They have won the EFL Cup and the FA Cup, while they finished a narrow second to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

On Saturday, Salah and his Liverpool team-mates will take part in the Champions League final in a repeat of the 2018 showpiece against Real Madrid, in which the Egypt international went off injured as the Spaniards ran out 3-1 winner.
