Juventus remain unsure over signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer.

Pogba's contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, meaning he can leave on a free transfer.

Juve, as well as a number of top European clubs, are interested in taking the Frenchman, but his wage demands are a significant obstacle.

As such, Paris Saint-Germain are heavy favourites to sign the midfielder, especially as Kylian Mbappe is expected to leave for Real Madrid.

PSG would also offer Pogba a chance to return to his homeland, while playing alongside legends of the game, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr.

But, Juventus have not been ruled out of the race, with the 28-year-old holding excellent memories from his time in Turin.

In fact, Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles with the Old Lady, before making a €105 million (£89.3m) return to Man Utd.

Pogba return to Juve?

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri is keen to bring Pogba back to the Allianz Stadium, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.

Allegri was in charge of the Bianconeri for the final two seasons of Pogba's four-year stint in Italy, where he performed at his very best.

However, the Juventus hierarchy aren't convinced by the potential deal, due to the significant financial implications.

The World Cup winning-midfielder is on €28m per year at United, with Juve only willing to offer €15m.

For Pogba to take a pay cut of this magnitude seems highly unlikely, particularly when there will be other more lucrative offers on the table.

In fact, given that PSG won't be having to pay a transfer fee, they could even give Pogba a pay rise to entice him into a move to the Parc des Princes.

So, the only way in which the former Juve man returns to his old club is if the Ligue 1 leaders turn their attentions to another target and Pogba decreases his demands significantly.
