Neymar has change of heart over transfer future

Brazilian superstar Neymar says he is now happy to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and has called on Kylian Mbappe to remain too.

The futures of both of PSG’s star men has been shrouded in doubt for several months, with their contracts expiring next year.

So far, renewal talks have yet to make much progress – leading to speculation that either or both forwards could leave this summer.

However, Neymar has now for the first time openly stated that he wants to prolong his stay at the Parc des Princes.

“I am happy today. I am truly happy. Things have changed a lot. I can’t exactly explain why,” Neymar told TF1.

“But today, I am feeling good. I have adapted. I am more calm and I am more happy.

“I want to stay at PSG. I also want Kylian to stay. We want PSG to be a great team.

“I want to continue to play football and be happy, that is the most important thing.”

Neymar scored two penalties on Sunday for PSG but they fell to a shock 3-2 defeat to relegation-threatened Lorient.
