Brighton manager Graham Potter has denied reports that any clubs have made a move for star midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The Mali international has been in outstanding form this season, winning plaudits from critics and fans alike.

Bissouma has been heavily linked with moves to both Manchester United and Liverpool, while a recent report in Spain claimed that Real Madrid were set to make a bid for his services.

However, Potter has denied all the rumours.

“There have been no approaches,” Potter revealed.

  • “As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the media, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. My focus is on Yves and how I can help him improve and I think he’s still got some improvement to make.

    “I don’t read the papers and I don’t really take something that is reported in a newspaper as a true fact.

    “This time of the year all sorts of things are put out there which are sometimes true, sometimes untrue, but it doesn’t help me in any way if I listen to the noise.”

    Bissouma was named in the starting XI on Sunday for Brighton’s trip to London against West Ham.
