Chelsea to make Jamie Gittens signing official THIS WEEK

Chelsea are expected to officially complete the signing of Jamie Gittens by the end of the week.
That is according to Nicolo Schira, who reports that Chelsea are very confident of closing the deal with Borussia Dortmund in the next few days.
Schira says that Gittens has agreed a contract with Chelsea until 2032 with the option for another year.
Gittens to join Chelsea
Schira's news follows on from a report by The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who revealed this week that Gittens’ proposed move to Stamford Bridge could be finalised “imminently.”
Ornstein confirms that a seven-year contract has been agreed and now the two clubs are discussing a fee.
Chelsea’s most recent offer of €50 million was rejected by Dortmund, with the Bundesliga side holding out for a fee closer to the €60m mark.

The England youth international has become the Blues' priority target for the left-wing position this summer.
The German side demanded a whopping €100m for Gittens in the January transfer window but his value decreased after a bad second half to the season.
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed on Wednesday that a deal for Gittens was close.
“I can confirm today that Chelsea are expected to sign Jamie Gittens,” Romano said. “They had a meeting in the US with Borussia Dortmund. Both clubs are there for the Club World Cup and a direct meeting took place on Monday. It was a positive meeting. There is a feeling a deal can be done soon.
“With a new proposal coming from Chelsea, with the player confirming to Chelsea that he wants to go to London and play for Chelsea, he’s not currently negotiating with Bayern. His total priority is Chelsea.
“He’s agreed a seven-year contract. This was done two or three weeks ago. Now Chelsea are working to close the deal with Borussia Dortmund. At the moment, Bayern are not involved.”
