‘Best defender in the league renews!’ – Chelsea fans react to Thiago Silva contract

Chelsea are getting ready to announce that Thiago Silva has agreed a new one-year contract extension with the club.
The 38-year-old will remain at Stamford Bridge until at least June 2024, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that the green light has been given to the deal.

Although Silva has only been at Chelsea since 2020, he has become an iconic figure at the club and has helped steady the team in difficult moments. Indeed, despite the Blues’ lavish spending over the last eight months, he has been their outstanding player this season.
Unsurprisingly, fans have greeted the news that he is set to remain for at least another year rapturously, with Chelsea supporters hailing the player that they believe to be the best defender in the Premier League.
