Tottenham Hotspur have reached a full agreement to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan deal following lengthy talks over a late summer move.

The Ukraine international was cleared to return to competitive action earlier this summer, following a doping ban, and he is now on the verge of reuniting with his former Shakhtar Donetsk boss Roberto De Zerbi at Spurs.

Mudryk’s last competitive match for Chelsea came against Heidenheim in the Europa Conference League back in November 2024 and he will depart Stamford Bridge on a temporary deal before the end of Deadline Day, with the Blues eager to send him on loan to receive guaranteed game time.

It remains to be seen if this will be accomplished at Tottenham, given the plethora of attacking options in their first-team squad, but Chelsea were tempted into a deal by Mudryk, who was desperate to join the north London giants in order to reunite with De Zerbi.

Leeds United were regarded as strong contenders to sign Mudryk earlier in the window, however they were unwilling to match Chelsea’s demands, while the Ukraine winger was reluctant to join the Blues’ sister club Strasbourg.

Tottenham emerged as a possible destination on Monday and following advanced talks between the two clubs, an agreement has been reached for Mudryk to join Spurs on an initial loan deal.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a deal will be announced today, with Chelsea including an €87.5 million (£75m) buy clause in the loan move.

Mudryk joined the Stamford Bridge outfit for an initial fee of €70m and Chelsea could therefore make a profit on the Ukraine winger if Tottenham decide to activate this clause next summer.

Tosin Adarabioyo to join Tottenham

In addition to Mudryk, Tottenham have also agreed a deal for Tosin Adarabioyo, who will join the club from Chelsea on a permanent deal.

Spurs have already strengthened their centre-back roster with the signings of Jan Paul van Hecke and Marcos Senesi so far this summer, but they have moved quickly to bring Tosin to the club following back-to-back defeats in their opening two matches of the new Premier League season.

Tosin has been excluded from Chelsea’s matchday squad in each of their first three games of the 2026-27 campaign and the west London club have been eager to offload him on a permanent deal ever since the signing of Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace.

Both Tosin and Mudryk will be unveiled as Tottenham players before the summer window shuts at 23:00 BST.
