And Tottenham Hotspur have been very active this summer, backing Roberto De Zerbi with €267million worth of talent.

Jan Paul van Hecke (€60m), Sandro Tonali (€108m) and Mateus Fernandes (€99m) have joined Spurs for big fees, while Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka have arrived on free transfers.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have signed Christos Tzolis (€40m) and Illan Meslier (Free Transfer) as they look to defend their Premier League title, while Piero Hincapie has turned his loan move into a permanent transfer (€40m).

And finally, as Liverpool look to kick on under Andoni Iraola, they have captured Victor Munoz (€40m) and Samuel Martinez (€879,000), while Jeremy Jacquet (€63.6m) has arrived on a pre-arranged deal.

Outside the Premier League, Barcelona have signed Anthony Gordon for €80m, Karim Adeyemi for €22m and Jesse Bisiwu for €8.5m.

Elsewhere in Spain, Real Madrid have brought in Carlos Espi (€25m), Denzel Dumfries (€20m), Ibrahima Konate (Free Transfer) and Bernardo Silva (Free Transfer) - alongside Spain international Cucurella - following Jose Mourinho’s return to the club.

In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown (€55m) and Ismael Saibari (€55m) following their World Cup exploits for Germany and Morocco respectively.

And in Serie A, AC Milan have thrown their weight behind manager Ruben Amorim by signing his compatriot Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a club record €70m.
